Opera News Hub, a platform that enables writers to publish articles for a fee has issued a strong warning to it's cherish writers regarding fake and defamatory articles. This comes into light as creators are trying to find stories that are controversial in order to gain more clicks for more money.

In emails sent to all creators, Opera News Hub says that they have a policy that deals with fake news and defamatory statements that is libel. That they will hesitate in disclosing writers or creators who use Opera News Hub to publish fade news and defamatory statements. The offenders will have their accounts demoted. Please note that we have a policy on dealing with fake news and defamatory statements (libel). We will fully cooperate with the relevant authorities to disclose the identities of any creator who uses the Opera News Hub platform to publish fake news and defamatory statements. 

Along with deleting flagged content and demoting offending creators, Opera News will also support the victims of these fake news and defamatory reports if they wish to take legal actions against the creators. We have a zero-tolerance policy against fake news and defamatory statements.
