This little drive doubled my Laptop's storage. The hard drive in my Toshiba ( A215-S4767 ) started acting weird after about6 years in service. I called Toshiba and they gave me the information that this hard drive would be a good replacement.

I did and the fun started. The Toshiba install disk after a full install gave me a message just before Window's Vista started for the first time. Windows can not use this Hardware, meaning the Hard drive as that was the only thing new on the computer. I first did a Bios update and reinstalled the Vista again and again. No luck.

The remedy, toss out the Toshiba install/ restore disk and put in a virgin Windows 7 install disk. Toshiba did not tell me this because after calling them several times one of the technicians for Toshiba noticed I was out of warranty and said, pay first then we can help you some more.

So on my own, I installed windows 7 and the new bios update and I was back in the game. The drive so far works well and the computer with Windows 7 on it seems better than before with Window's Vista.
