It is very important that you know the types of product tags at the Jumia platform. This will enable you to understand the conditions associated with each product you ordered for. Like the delivery time, warranty, returns, and mode of payments.

How many types of product tags are there in the Jumia mall?

There are 3 types of product tags you will find on the Jumia online shopping mall under all categories namely items tagged as "Jumia Global", "Jumia Express" and items with no tags otherwise known as the standard delivery. They are so tagged as such because of the delivery services and timeline attached to them.

Jumia Global Products

Jumia Global products are tagged, it is often under the product below the price list

Products with this tag mean that they have been shipped from overseas but under certain circumstances could also be available at the Jumai warehouse due to high customer demands. So these are products that are not in your Jumia country.

But you have the opportunity to buy from overseas. This is made possible by the partnerships between Jumia and international companies and merchants to use the Jumia platform to sell their goods.

Products from overseas are nice, good, and durable. Products are prepaid for upon order and before delivery. You pay in your local currency, so you have no problems with exchange rates. The delivery period for such items can take from 2 to 3 weeks

There are some risks associated with Jumia Global products

1. Jumia Global products do not come with a manufacturer's warranty.
2. Jumia Global products cannot be canceled after it has been ordered.
3. Jumia Global items are not returnable after delivery unless under the conditions that the item delivered did not match with the descriptions or samples or samples and descriptions. Or the product is defective.

Products tagged as Jumia Express

They are so-called "Jumia Express" because these products are readily available at the Jumia warehouse. Jumia Express is a new premium service introduced by Jumia, for the super fast delivery of products, easier shopping experience, and 100% availability of products across the African countries where Jumia exist.

So it means that the products are with Jumia and not with their vendors. Customers are guaranteed to have the availability of products. This ensures that when orders placed with products that are tagged with the Express Logo, they are delivered with speed.

It takes Jumia 24 hours to deliver goods if an order is placed before 2 pm especially where the Jumia offices and warehouses are located. But other major cities and towns, an additional day is added.

No-tag products are otherwise known as the standard delivery

No-tag products are products that are not always readily available as the Jumia Express products. These are products with vendors. If orders are placed, Jumia will consult the vendor of that particular product and the vendor will drop it at the Jumia warehouse. Delivery is not as fast as the Jumia Express products.

The service delivery is known as the “standard delivery”. Payments for Jumia No-tag products are either upon delivery or prepayment via Mobile Money, Visa or Master Cards, and the Jumia pay. The delivery period of such products is 2 to 3 working days in the major cities, 5 to 7 working days in other cities and towns.

The last two types of product tags of Jumia namely Jumia Express and the standard delivery products come with some benefits.

1. The products come with a manufacturer's warranty.
They are returnable under certain conditions, the warranty lasts up to 7 days. The conditions depend on the product being ordered. For instance, fashion products must not be worn before the planned date of return.

2. When you shop products tagged as Jumia Express or Jumia Products that have no tags otherwise knowns as the standard delivery products, you can pay after the products have been delivered to you. That is payment after delivery.

This is an advantage because sometimes you may short money in your Mobile Money wallet or Bank account. The space between the order date and the delivery date will help you prepare before the actual delivery day is due.

3. The Jumia Express products and the Jumia standard delivery products are sold by local companies and merchants. These products are in most cases manufactured here in Africa. So they have African conditions in mind before the products are made. These products are durable, user-friendly and the specifications work well.
Thus these are the differences between Jumia Global and Jumia Express and the standard delivery products.

Thus the key difference lies in the delivery timelines. Jumia Express products are the fastest in terms of delivery followed by the standard delivery products and Jumia Global products.

Jumia Global products are from overseas; Jumia Express products are with Jumia in their warehouses readily available to be delivered upon order. Standard delivery products are with the local vendors, products are dropped off at the Jumia offices if orders are placed.
